Gargoyle Sentinel Character Guide
Where to Find Gargoyle Sentinels
Gargoyle Sentinels perch upon the stone cornices and burning towers of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Medieval Paris. They are gothic winged predators that dive from above in swooping arcs, attacking in packs of two to three whenever Trevor Belmont crosses exposed rooftops.
How to Slay a Gargoyle Sentinel
Gargoyle Sentinels are attuned to dark fire and stone, making them take double damage from Ice and consecrated cold strikes. The Hunter Bow or throwing axes are ideal: melee strikes frequently miss their hovering flight paths. Aiming a cold-infused arrow during their aerial swoop interrupts their dive and drops them to the stone floor.
Drops and Bounty Value
Slaying a Gargoyle Sentinel yields Gargoyle Claws and Spectral Membranes, which sell for 18 gold to the Paris resistance quartermaster or serve as key components in consecrated sub-weapon concoctions.
Role in Belmont Progression
Hunting Gargoyle Sentinels introduces players to anti-air sub-weapons and elemental cold advantages. Clearing their rooftop aerie is also mandatory for cleansing the Notre-Dame bell tower and assembling the Crest.
